Meet the Client

HealthHaven Advisors offers premium management services for healthcare professionals, including medical billing, tax management, accounting, and operational support. Their mission is to reduce administrative stress and simplify operations under one provider.

Challenges

Formerly Ledger Right, HealthHaven Advisors approached Stump and Root Co to refine their messaging and visuals for a successful launch. While serving various clients, they decided to focus on medical professionals and needed help creating a cohesive identity.

Our Process

We met with all three owners of HealthHaven Advisors (formerly "Ledger Right") and asked intentional questions to understand their business and vision.
We left with key insights into their clients, core offers, and brand voice, realizing we needed to create a new name and tagline for the company.

Name and Tagline:

This was the toughest part of the collaboration. After a week of brainstorming, we narrowed it down to three names: Med Ascent, Medi Ledger, and Vantage Point. While these conveyed authority and a medical connection, Damien preferred the tagline over the names, wanting something more premium and client-safe. After more brainstorming, Tim suggested "HealthHaven," but with the URL taken, we settled on HealthHaven Advisors. The name ultimately led us to the tagline: Where Healthcare Excellence Finds Its Haven> 

Brand Story and Messaging:

We invested time in crafting the brand story and visual language. After research, I created a "Dream Client Avatar" to ensure teams understood their target medical professional. This exercise helped align the team’s efforts and framed HHA as the guide, with medical professionals as the heroes.I gave the HHA team a detailed avatar with a name, picture, and pain points, shaping the brand story by writing from his perspective. For messaging, I focused on reflecting the HealthHaven team's warm, inviting, and professional personalities, aiming to make the messaging approachable, not stuffy.

Logo & Design

We translated the brand essence into visuals, starting by presenting various logo types to gauge their preferences. They gravitated toward a Wordmark logo and an Abstract Icon. Next, we explored different color palettes, ranging from neon to warm, serene tones, receiving varied feedback. We crafted three distinct logos, experimenting with typefaces, colors, and elements to resonate with the target audience. When we presented them, they said, "You're making this hard for us to pick!" They loved all three, but after some reflection, they chose the first design—just as Sarah predicted. To reinforce the visual brand values, we wanted to incorporate a verbal identity to each element of the logo. We created the copy and presented this verbal extension of the logo to the HHA team, who were thrilled with it.

Photography

As we neared the end of the project, we realized professional headshots were needed. The submitted photos didn’t capture their personalities, so we all agreed on a photoshoot.

We staged the shots to highlight their warm, kind personalities, handling both the shooting and editing. The result was a set of photos that perfectly reflected HealthHaven Advisors' professional yet approachable brand—and they absolutely loved them!

Closing Thoughts

This project was a labor of love and intention. From the initial frustrations to the final flourishes, our work with HealthHaven Advisors was a testament to the power of thoughtful branding and design. We are proud of the transformation and grateful for the lessons learned through this collaboration. HealthHaven Advisors emerged with a revitalized brand that truly reflects their dedication to supporting medical professionals and setting a new standard in their industry.
